so yes. I'm at Kate's house..... and life is good. we went to Busch Gardens yesterday, which was fun. she's out babysitting until like one, so I"m probably going to go back to sleep pretty soon here. I'll save all the "lol moments" for when I get back. we've made a list of all the dumb/funny stuff we've said so far and let's just say, I'm winning. what else has happened? not much. train was good, oh and Kate took the liberty of making some comments on myspace under my name since I forgot to log off.... yeah. that was fun. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I think that's about it. we're going shopping today. should be fun. oh and I have this new dilema... I brought the smaller of the suitcases that we have at my house since I"ll only be here for four days. the  Kate throws this PILE of clothes at me that she's outgrown that she's giving to me. so now I have like two time the amount of clothing than I do suitcase.... lol. yeah I'm excited about THAT coming home. lol anyways, bye bye!

so yeah. I just got back from a fantastic day with DANIELLE! :) yay! so vbs this morning was meh, came home, napped, then Dani called, came over and we swam (in the rain... it was fun) and she showered because she hadn't in like a day and a half (long story) thennn we went to Carolina Place Mall and walked around for a while. ohhhhhh my gosh we went to Rave and actually looked around for a while then got tired of looking for stuff we actually wanted and picked out CRAZY stuff to try on (like stuff that I don't think anyone in their right mind would ever buy) she picked stuff for me... I ended up with a pink frilly lacy skirt that was realllllllly short.... yeah we had a laugh or two over that. she also picked some strange, obscure dress thing. it looked more like a tablecloth... I picked random crazy stuff for her and the people almost kicked us out of the store. it was great. after that, we went back to her house and decided to watch Dirty Dancing, which ended up being a pretty good movie. but now we're both set on learning to (I quote us) dance "classy dirty dancing" lol wow... good times.  then we talked to her mom for a while and randomly walked around until I realized it was 9:30 and we both have vbs tomorrow morning, so I decided to come home... oh, and I think my mom forgot I was gone... lol

Calvin's HOME! I'm so happy, I don't think I've been this relieved in weeks. I can't even write all that he's been through... I've told some people day-by-day, but it's too much to write... all that matters is that he's home :)

Calvin's out of surgery! I talked to my mom and apparently it went VERY well. It took about 6 hours for the procedure and another hour(ish) to stich him up and prepare him for the ICU. His back went from being 71 degrees off (curved forward, sideways, and his individual vertebrae were twisted) to being like 15-20 degrees off, which is very close to normal curvature! :) I'm so happy it's over.  I've been a wreck all day. I did sudoku for like... let's see, 7 hours... give or take. I woke up at 4:30 to see him off and couldn't fall asleep afterwards and I got a call at 1:30 saying that he was done with the surgery. So yeah, I'm just really relieved it's over.

Calvin just left for the hospital. I got up early (um at 4:30 actually) to say good bye, and turns out they didn't have to leave for like an extra 15 minutes, so Calvin and I talked. He almost started crying a few times, but laughed it off and started talking about something else. I was definately close to tears. We're going to see him tomorrow. His surgery is at 7:30am this morning. Please be thinking about him. I'd planned on going back to sleep, but I can't see that happening, I'm too worried. Anyways, keep him in your thoughts today.

*sigh* excellant day. woke up and tutored the boys then called Dani and made plans for the day.  We ended up going out to lunch at Macaroni Grill (which I had never been to) and we split a "Create your own pasta"... it was amazing. half the fun was "creating" it. and we were being complete nerds and writing music notes and stuff all over the paper thing on the table (like the paper that covers the table). it was fantastic. thennnn we went back to my house and picked up Katie and went to Carolina Place mallllll :) which was AMAZING fun!  Kate got a bunch of stuff, Dani got a really cute dress :) (which was her main goal) and I got a cute dress annnnd a really nice shirt. the shirt was on sale for $5! Kate was very jealous :) so yeah. that was all at Gadzooks I think. thennnn we walked around more and got other random stuff at other random places, and then we came back to my house. Dani left and Kate and I picked blackberries with my little sister (oh fun fun) then we went to my room and compared our fabulous findings :)! we've decided that I'm going to go visit her the week before school starts. I'm taking the train up and then coming back a few days before the 25th.... I'm excited :) sooooooo yeah that's pretty much my day. OH! but I'd say that the highlight was going up the down elevator in Hechts...... Dani and Kate did it relatively unnoticed, but LEAVE IT TO ME to completely wipe out at the very top and draw WAY more attention to myself than I would have liked... yeah so I scraped up my shin pretty bad and like 5 people were all concerned and asking me if I was okay and I couldn't even answer I was laughing so hard. ah, good times!

MAC MADE MASTERSINGERS! Some of the guys may remember him from boys' choir in like... 2000ish... I don't know. But yeah, he's a bass, which is exciting. And yeah.

okayyy where to begin. um yeah... Calvin's surgery is the 21st and I'm really worried about him. He's trying so hard to act like it's no big deal and that he doesn't care, but I know him, he can' t bullshit me. He's scared to hell and really doesn't have anyone to talk about it with besides family since he's out of school and there are only like 5 other people at his school anyways. I'm going to talk to him tomorrow or something.... so yeah. He'll be in the hospital from earlllllllly the 21st to like the 24thish. Nana and Poppy are coming to help watch the kids while Mom and Dad stay at the hospital. Mom and Dad have both given blood uptown at the hospital in case something goes wrong (that's not frightening or anything...) but yeah. Sooooo I think that's all that's involved with Cal's surgery.

Went to see Pirates umm a few days ago with Ashton. Lots of fun :-) good movie, kinda sucky ending, but still a fun time. Although we did end up at Stonecrest like 1 hour & 45 minutes to early (lol) but whatever. Good time(s). 

Umm what else? Work is insane. I love it, but it's insane. I absolutely love my manager. She is the craziest person ever. Not even kidding. I can't even describe the good times... yeah, but seriously I laugh harder at work than I do any other time during the typical day. But yeah. Lots of hours, lots of MONEY :-) OH! and I'm training to work "on the line" (basically make the food and stuff) which is really fun. Everyone at work thinks I'm weird for being so hapy about making food, but what can I say? I'm WEIRD! I admit it! 

My sunburn went away surprisingly fast. I was very happy about that. Sunburns really suck when they stay for like a month. Yeah, I would know. But I'm going back to the beach on the.... 16th? Yes. So I'll get nice and sunburned again then. I'm pretty excited about that.... not. 

Yeah. I think that's it to my semi-massive update. I'll try to post some more while I'm at the beach or sometime before or whatever... I hope you're having fun if you're at Westminster! (Derrick, Carlin, Margaret, Cameron!)

omg I am such a dumb ass. I am sun-burned AGAIN! I went to the beach this morning and my face didn't burn, but my legs and arms did pretty badly. Then I fell asleep reading on the hammock outside for like 3 hours, and my face burned pretty badly and my legs and arms are fried. gah! WHY do I ALWAYS do this?! :/ annnnnnnd I forgot aloe, which I swear to god I packed... anyways, see y'all when I get back.

Leaving in about an hour for the beach. Cell'll be on all weekend, so call if there's anything planned for Mastersingers or whatever.

Kat, I'm sorry we didn't get to hang out tonight; I really wish we weren't leaving til tomorrow :-/ <3 call me when you get moved in/whenever.

Calvin's surgery: July 21st

wow... so tour was AMAZING! I had an absolute blast and am really upset it's over :/ I made several unexpected friends, which was really nice, since I'd never really been close with them before. I can't even put into words what all we did and everything that happened, but I'll work on the highlights. I'd say that one of my favorite parts was the last rehearsal when we sang the Alleluia. Rodney was doing our rehearsal and he had us mix up and close our eyes so we could focus on listening. We sang the whole way through the Alleluia, and it was AMAZING OMGOMOGMGOMG! I wish I had a recording of it. Rodney started crying! It was magnificant. :) On another note, my Bennie Award was: The "where's my suitcase award" for being too trusting. there's a story behind it... When we were at the hotel somewhere, everyone put their luggage in the lobby before we left. when we were loading the bus, mine wasn't there, and someone else had taken my garment bag. I assumed that we were all just loading everything spontaneously since the pile was so random... I grabbed someone elses luggage and put it by the bus. Then I got on and after about 5 minutes, Mr Outen gets on and says, "Bethany Wenger, come here." and that's where I thought, "Oh shit. I fucked up." He ended up telling my that my luggage had been left in the lobby and someone else grabbed it and that it was on a plane to New Mexico, which I didn't believe at first, but started to believe... then Mrs Johnson got on and told me they'd found my luggage. *relief* so yeah, good times, good times.

Besides that, work is amazing. I love it. :) and I get free food! woohoo! I work like 5 of the next 6 days, so $$$ = :)

On a different note, Calvin is having his surgery a lot sooner than expected. It's going to be in the next month. That could mean next week or 4 weeks from now. We don't know yet. Mom's calling tomorrow to set up a time... So that's really stressful, and Cal's kinda stressing about it (he's horrible with change... he freaks when something like moving or vacation messes up the daily routine of life) So he'll spend a week in the hospital, and have about 4-5 months until he's fully recovered...

My other brothers (Luke and Adam) need to be tutored over the summer to get solid skills for next year, since they won't remember anything come September... so instead of wasting tons of money on a private tutor, mom's employing me. I'm going to tutor them each an hour a day and hopefully make up for some lost time (especially for Luke, who need help with math).

On a really confusing note, I've pretty much gotten over what's been bothering me for a few months, but there's a whole new spin on life, which started recently... I'm really confused and don't know what is going on... but it's all good :)
